Description
Château Léoville-Poyferré is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle, with a history dating back to the early 17th century. Known for its exceptional terroir and commitment to producing high-quality wines, the estate has been consistently recognized for its outstanding red blends.
This 1996 vintage of Léoville-Poyferré Saint Julien is a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The wine boasts a deep ruby color with aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and tobacco. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with flavors of dark berries, spice, and leather. The tannins are well-integrated, providing a long and elegant finish. This vintage is drinking beautifully now but will continue to evolve gracefully with age.
