Description
Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest Grands Crus of Bordeaux. The winery dates back to 1300, when Bertrand de Goth, the future Pope Clement V, became the owner. Today, the estate produces critically acclaimed red and white wines in the Pessac-Léognan appellation.
This 2003 Pape Clément Pessac-Léognan is a rich and complex red wine. It has a deep ruby color and aromas of black fruits, spices, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied with velvety tannins and a long, elegant finish. This vintage is drinking beautifully now, but can also be cellared for several more years to develop further complexity.
