Carruades de Lafite, Pauillac - 2017
Description
Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of the renowned Château Lafite Rothschild in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. The 2017 vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
With a nose of blackcurrants, tobacco, and cedar, this wine offers a complex and elegant bouquet. On the palate, it is well-structured with silky tannins and notes of dark fruits, spices, and a hint of earthiness. The finish is long and persistent, showcasing the excellent terroir of Pauillac.
Château Lafite Rothschild is one of the most prestigious wineries in Bordeaux, dating back to the 17th century. Known for producing exceptional wines, the estate is situated on gravelly soils along the Gironde River, providing ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
