Veuve Clicquot, La Grande Dame - 2006
Description
Veuve Clicquot is a prestigious Champagne house founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot. La Grande Dame is their flagship cuvée named in honor of Madame Clicquot, a pioneer in the Champagne industry.
The 2006 vintage of La Grande Dame is a blend of 53% Pinot Noir and 47% Chardonnay sourced from Grand Cru vineyards. This Champagne has a pale gold color with delicate bubbles. On the nose, it offers aromas of white flowers, toasted brioche, and candied citrus fruits.
On the palate, La Grande Dame 2006 is rich and complex with flavors of ripe peach, honey, and almonds. The wine has a creamy texture and a long, mineral-driven finish. It is a perfect expression of the Veuve Clicquot house style - elegant, refined, and age-worthy.
